Devlog 4 - Progress
Hello everynyan! This blog is dedicated to showcasing some of the progress we've made over the last week. The tutorial level is fast approaching!
Art
First, Gem has created some wonderful blockouts of the final environmental design. These truly embody the maximalist, lived-in feeling we wanted to communicate through the apothecary, so we couldn't be happier with the result! We're very excited to see what the finished pieces will look like.

In terms of other art assets, there's a new ailment icon for the Grimoire, as well as some more visual changes to the herbs we felt still weren't right. We're experimenting with a new style for the ailment icons, making them look like old medical books!

Coding
Many fixes and improvements this week from Amy! Changes include separating Jimothy into his own day (00 - the tutorial), placing the results screen at the end of each day rather than between clients, and fixing bugs such as visual distortion. Another exciting feature is adding animation to the text in the dialogue boxes - we feel like this will really provide some "juice" to our game and make it feel alive!
Thanks for reading this week's blog. Next week is our first study break, so we'll full steam ahead with work. See ya next time!
